Video Intro, How to look professional with your home videos and movies

Video has blasted its way onto the internet for many years now and has become the foremost exciting development for many businesses on and off the internet. Where as articles have a great presence still, now video's are being created as the main aspect to grab attention from an audience. Not only are videos a great visual representation of what you are trying to convey, they are also a great educational tool. They allow you to create a whole new world for your audience to watch and interact with.

Youtube alone is now the third most used search engine on the internet today and is quickly rising. In fact, type any search query into Google and there is a very good chance a youtube video will appear on the first page. With the huge benefits of using video and the faster broadband speeds being utilised its really no surprise. With so many new applications such as the Adobe family, Camtasia, Sony Vegas and many more! Its also now becoming even easier for people to create their own videos.

With so many sites now allowing video to be used, even social media sites like facebook, its really a no brainer to create videos and take advantage of this marketing tool.

So how can we use video to benefit us? Well no matter who you are or what you want your audience to see, you can create a video on anything. Create videos showing off your product, create video testimonials, film your favorite pet, whatever you want! Most people have a way of recording now, Hiring camera's, asking a friend, using your webcam, even using your mobile phone.

Once you have created your masterpiece how can we advertise it? Well Youtube is a great start of course. Its free to create an account and upload your video's and you can have them up to 15 minutes long which in my opinion is plenty. Send your video out to your fans on facebook, tweet your favorite videos on twitter the possibilities are endless!

There are many aspects you can add to your video which will give it a bigger impact when your viewers come to watch it. For example the music used can have a huge impact, the lighting, colors, sound quality, editing the list really is endless. There are many aspects to creating a great video.

One of the biggest and most proven techniques you can apply to your video however, is to give it an introduction with identity, or also known as a "Video Intro". A Video Intro will allow you to engage your customers with an authoritative stamp. this will let the viewer know immediately that the masterpiece they are about to watch is by YOU.

This allows you to imprint your slogan, your logo, your mark, your music. Anything that incorporates you or your business, that viewer will be left with a lasting impression, knowing that what they have just seen is from you. This will give your viewers the opportunity to remember your business mark with ease and recognise that mark wherever else they might see it. A Video intro will give off a more professional approach to an audience and allow them to engage you on a greater personal level.

One approach i like to take when creating a Video Intro for clients is to incorporate their logo design. An underwater videography company by the name of Kraken Productions "www.KrakenProductions.com" hired my services to create one of many Video Intro's that i have done for them. They sent me this logo you can see here and wanted me to incorporate this so that it would have a greater impact on their audience. They also wanted it in such a way that it could be used on its own for marketing purposes. Great programs for editing and creating logo's are Photoshop and Illustrator, any image or vector editor that can save images into a .png format should do the job. So after editing the logo slightly, it could then be incorporated into such programs like Maya, 3DS Max, Animation Master and all of the Adobe Family. Using graphics and video skill's learn't throughout the years i was able to come up with a finished composition.

If you don't have or wish to show a logo then you can create something with just text and still produce something eye catching with a theme that suits your service. You still have your professional look and impact and can engage with your audience in the same way.

The great thing is that these Video Intro's can be used over and over with many projects and products. Just for good measure you should show these at the end to your video's again to make sure you leave that lasting impression with your audience.

To create these intro's you can find services online that will make them for you, or you can make your own using any software like Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas or even just using your Windows Movie Maker that comes with Windows. There are many free tutorial websites out there if you ever fancy the challenge of teaching yourself how to use the software. I know many that have! One example would be VideoCopilot.net which is excellent for starting out or even for advanced users. Or even give Youtube a search for video tutorials.

Personally i know how much time these Video Intro's can take so i make one video design available for multiple clients.
